Andropharma Curvature supplements help fight Peyronie's disease

Current studies show that Peyronie's disease (plastic induration of the penis) is an inflammatory disease of the penis in which the elastic layer (tunica albuginea) of the penis in the central tissue (corpora cavernosa) is injured. Consequently, the affected area loses elasticity and when it fills with blood it does not stretch, but rather causes the penis to curve in the direction of the scar. Peyronie's disease is the most common cause of excessive curvature of the penis.

The process begins with the oxidation of various fats and protein molecules leading to inflammation of the elastic layer (tunica albuginea) and the corpus cavernosum. This continues until finally the collagen fibres are replaced by non-elastic fibres that form the fibrous plaque (hardened nodules) that is very characteristic of this disease.

These plaques can be felt under the skin, usually on the top or sometimes on the sides of the penis. Most of them dissolve on their own naturally, but sometimes they persist and over time cause:

Abnormal curvature of the penis (often upwards);

  • Erectile dysfunction and/or pain during erection;
  • Shortening, loss of thickness and/or malformation of the penis (clefts, bottlenecks, hourglass shape);
  • Sexual problems caused by anxiety and psychological problems.

Currently, the available treatments are still not entirely satisfactory and mostly only help to alleviate the symptoms of Peyronie's disease. For less complicated cases and the initial stages, there are numerous medications and compounds (most of which are anti-inflammatory and anti-sclerosing) that are used and tested.

If the curvature of the penis persists in the later stages of the disease, when the pain has already diminished, surgery is necessary to correct it.

However, this treatment is very invasive and can sometimes result in penis shortening of up to 4 cm (1.6 inches).

Urology and Andrology are the specialists who are investigating other non-invasive options. Recently there have been several studies on the effect of penis extenders such as Andropeyronie which makes use of traction force to help correct penile curvature and reduce fibrotic plaques. The results have shown that it is effective and completely safe for correcting penile curvature.

  • Promote blood circulation and metabolism;
  • help relieve pain;
  • reduce the process associated with fibrous plaques and curvature of the penis
